Why?
Unless it was my wifi. There seemed to have been a fair number of editing issues, at one point they were about to talk about cobbold and ended up in the dressing room, then when in the car park behind sir alf stand he was talking but the video wasn't in sync.
Obviously not a big thing but a guess a little funny considering he said about 5 times, if you don't do the small things properly....

Jacob did say when they started the dressing room bit “well we’ve actually come inside before heading out”
I did think that bit was out of sync at first but then thought it was some sort of overlay footage.

Pleased you noticed as well, poorly edited, one quite embarrassing moment when Ashton is standing by and talking about the Memorial Garden and the bloke interviewing just walks of

Being boring, I'm guessing the mug might be to keep at least one of his hands occupied at all times. Ashton is certainly one for gesticulating whilst talking.
Without the mug, I can imagine the videos would end up a little like this:
