McKenna's credit in the bank 22:27 - Nov 28 with 4945 viewsgtsb1966

Disappearing at a rapid rate. We've spent a fortune for this very mediocre league and in 17 games have failed to beat..
Birmingham
Southampton
Preston
Derby
Bristol City
Middlesbrough
Charlton
Wrexham
Oxford.
Watford.
Im struggling to see why so many see him as the way forward. We do the same old things every week. For me we need a change. It has all gone stale. He wont replicate the past. Time to move on.

And bring in Francis Jeffers as striker coach.

He turned Bonne, now playing Non-League, into the best striker in the Championship during the few months he worked with him.

I am amazed that he was let go when McKenna came in.

Ah yes, and what happened to Bonne? He had a purple patch in his career, in a Town shirt, then the goals dried up and he's now playing at a much much lower level.

KM has done terrifically well for us since taking the helm, but those out there that feel he shouldn’t be challenged after we’ve spent so much on new players and have a big advantage due to the parachute payments need a reality check. I wouldn’t mind if we’ve looked convincing, but last night showed once again - like quite a number of performances this season - we really are becoming so predictable and laboured in our approach.

Poll: Where are we going to finish?

Are those ‘McKenna lovers’ just ‘Ipswich fans’ by any chance?

Tonight was disappointing but you’d have to be a moron to think McKenna hasn’t done an incredible job for us? Sack him (which we clearly won’t) and the best available option by a million miles would be McKenna.

Sp whilst im NOT saying sack the manager, my question is, since he got thise promotions and thdn disbanded that squad, and now " built" two new squads etc, etc , what has he actually achieved with those squads in the last 2 years? How do people think we play now compared to the " lesser" Paul Cook squad?

Poll: Would this current Town team beat the current narwich team

Absolutely yet none will say what he is doing right this season because at the moment with what he has at his disposal he is failing. The past though.....

You are completely right, but my god there are some roses tinted glasses wearing supporters on this site.

There isn't anyone, that I've seen, who feels McKenna shouldn't be challenged at all. There's just ways of doing it.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

One problem emerges it seems time and again. A pattern that needs to be curbed and that is poor starts, missed chances, a 70% control of many games and then letting in a sloppy goal meaning we are chasing a game. Which in turn leads to the opposing side parking the bus and then looking to hit us on the break.
Too many players that haven't contributed to our goals tally. Where we have five forwards with two goals between them.
These aren't complaints, they are facts which for whatever reason we keep repeating.
It seems as many have said no plan B. Just the same situation where substitutes are brought on with 20 minutes to go whether we are winning or losing.
Why not change it at half time or with 30 minutes to go.
I'm not trying to do McKenna's job and am not about to criticise him.
But I do feel we need to mix it up a bit.

This is what belies the 'KM is a great manager' line for me. I mean how can he not see it? It's incredible.
