Get behind the team 22:16 - Dec 2 with 1492 viewsjasondozzell

I'll have a swing at it.

Proper championship game. Not always pretty. But I'd rather watch that than Premier league anyday.

Poor from Town.

But support has got to get the back to back out of their heads. That was fairytale football. Once in a lifetime stuff. Most seasons are not like that and even successful ones are bloody hard work.

Are we below par and struggling a bit at the moment? Yes. Why? Very simple. This team has been together for 12 games or so. KM is trying to use squad strength. It's the right decision imo but it is tricky balance to strike and his methods are always long term and not short term. And we've had a good number of players not start their Town careers in the best form. Teams are setting up to frustrate us and we're there to be shot at this time round. We're also under huge pressure a lot of which is coming from our own support who demand this be a stylish easy stroll to an auto place. It's the championship. What did anyone expect?

I want this new team to succeed so much. Get behind the team. You either do that or the moaning and ridiculous hyperbole just adds to the pressure. And it's entitled to think it should be a fantastic season strolling to the title and if it's not it's a 'disgrace' 'outrage' etc.

Hopefully the Egeli equaliser wakes us all up. This is the good stuff! We're in a proper scrap and battle in this league. For nearly two decades we had virtually nothing to fight for. We do now and it's a privilege because the club has ambition again.

No moaning on Sat. Just get behind them. Who knows what will happen this season. That's the football drug.

And show KM some respect. 'he's got to go for me'. Behave yourself.

If you can watch the games and not see the issues I highly doubt me summarising them on TWTD is going to solve anything

You've said the same about pretty much every manager and if it was up to you we'd still have Lambert whilst clutching at League 2 looking straws. Its hard to take anything seriously.

No, im fascinated. I want to read your thoughts on the matter, that doesn't involve 4 lines of ranting with no reasoning.

To be honest, I dont think youre remotely capable, but I stand to be corrected.

Just looking at the table.

We are 1 pt off the play offs, 5 off 2nd place, Coventry will probably win the league so 2nd very much still up for grabs.

We are joint 2nd highest scorers, and have the 3rd best goal difference.

There is still 28 games to go, 84 pts on offer.

Yes, not playing well at the moment, but so much time still to get it right, so a big crowd on Saturday and get behind the boys against a very decent side.

Poll: How long will we be in League One/League Two from next season?

I think it's really really poor
Players are under performing
No cohesion in the team
Keep doing things that don't work eg Akpom at no 10
Young brought here for no apparent reason
Noone of the 3 No 9s held the ball up tonight
It's utter dross and we have spent a fortune
The squad is unbalanced
I could go on and on
And no I don't want McK to go
Sorry but your blind faith can be a bit galling after the last 2 matches
Shouldn't have said troll though so apols

Nicely summarised. It's set up for us and all to play for.

It could be a really exciting season. We're in a proper fight and should relish it.

I agree with a fair amount of that. We're still hugely a work in progress. KM has been telling us that too.

But I think the quality is obviously there and we're fighting. Let's see. Don't underestimate KM. He is astute.

Big game on Sat.

I love the championship!

That’s a great post and take on things currently…yes we have been spoiled , and that has created the want for continued success , not always easy to achieve in today’s football fish bowl .

Yep. It was scrappy and poor quality from both teams for much of it. A messy game. But miles better to watch the the PL. Frenetic and engrossing.

I responded by telling the OP to bore off due to his incessant positivity around situations which are overwhelmingly negative, very soon after games have finished and when tensions are high. I think these posts are deliberately antagonistic and as such I responded in kind.

Posting negatively on a forum does not indicate that I am not behind the team, I will be in attendance on Saturday (will you?) and will be vocal in my support. However, expressing my frustrations on this forum is well within my rights as a fan - it is more than healthy for football fans to express their thoughts on how situations could improve without you two observing from your high horses and telling us nothing is wrong.

I don't mind a scrap, god knows I've watched enough Championship games over the years, to be honest I thought tonight's game was flat-out bad. Anyway, full support needed on Saturday, if we start well perhaps we can push Coventry out of their comfort zone.

It’s not blind faith though, it’s quite possible to see the issues we have and yet feel it’s vital that supporters play their part, i.e. by supporting. And that will be particularly important for the coming home games.

I'm not antagonistic I'm just a Town supporter.

And if think I'm saying nothing is wrong then that shows you've not read my post.

Cheers. And I agree. Some seem to think football should just be winning and enjoying winning. We've been totally spoilt.

In a strange way I think the struggle is maybe needed. Gives it all a bit of bite and a chance for this team to prove people wrong. Feels personal with this season now! Egeli equaliser could be a big goal.

A few hours ago it was 3 points of 2nd with a game in hand, now we are 5 points off with no games in hand.

Surely even you can see we are massively under performing this season? It's not spoilt it's realistic expectations as a parachute club.
