Besides anything else regarding the climate, the roads are littered with cars that are too big for most of the roads and certainly most of the parking spaces. They are often driven by people who lack the skill to safely manoeuvre these huge beasts, causing congestion and wasting everyone's time. I say tax the **** out of them. [Post edited 3 Dec 12:16]

Not all of them. There are plenty of smaller electric cars. Trouble is that current battery tech means that if you want long range you need more volume, so those smaller cars have a limited range (still 250 miles for a R5). | | | |
