The Marcus Stewart song was sung so much louder than the others I experienced on the list that it makes it number one for me.

I met him in Bristol after he finished his career too. I think it meant a lot to him, which adds value for me.

As a youngster I used to love singing England's England's number 1 in the direction of Richard Wright. Not sure why, nothing unique about the chant I just think for a 2nd tier club to be able to sing that and it actually not be a huge stretch at the time was a source of pride for one of our own.

I liked Plug. I finished training once and couldn't get home, must've been 13 or 14 and my dad was stuck in a road closure and couldn't get to me. He'd presumably made the club aware and one of the coaches offered to drive me home. Over hearing that and knowing he was going that way anyway a certain Richard Wright (who must've been in his early 20's) said 'get in with me son, I'll drop you back'. Not sure why he was there that evening but I duly got in to his swanky BMW Z3. IIRC it was the car used in Goldeneye and this was only a few years after, lovely car and felt on top of the world getting dropped back home by Towns #1.
