We’ve got a honking record at Leicester though, I don’t think we’ve won away to them for 23 years. I’ve been there 2 or 3 times and certainly not seen us win, last season being particularly disappointing. This is probably the 1st time this season I’ve not felt a win, but I’ve been wrong 13 times so far and hopefully that’s 14 today. Big one, COYB.

When it comes to teams on a similar level then it's just law of averages - there will always be one team you have the worst record against. The law of averages would also say that run has to be broken at some point (again, when it's teams of a similar level). Hopefully today!

| We never win at Leicester on 09:00 - Dec 13 with 500 views | Churchman | Our overall record v Leicester is level at 27 wins each, 20 draws. The away record is rubbish since 2002. 11 meetings 4 draws, but that just reflects that they’ve been better than us for most of that time. I’ve seen us play a lot there - most seasons we were in the same division late 1970s up to 2000 and our record was ok. I don’t prescribe to certain teams/form either. As for today? It’s a real no idea job. They’re a bit flaky but then our last two away performances were poor. So many games in such a short time is a factor but it’s the same for both. I’d take a scrappy point right now. If it goes against us, I do hope the damp trolleys brigade don’t go bananas again, but I’m not holding my breath. It’s been a good week on here since 5pm last Saturday without the hysterics. | | | |

Hadn't they gone 6 home matches without scoring and they despatched us 2 nil. I also seem to remember Jen's was dispossessed in midfield while we were on top and they scored from it. I'm sure I had seen us win at filbert street, it just seems a long time ago. [Post edited 13 Dec 9:38]

Flakey looks to be the word for them this season, they’ve posted some impressive results but also some that raise some eyebrows, like us really but even more inconsistent. On paper they’ve still got a talented squad, I wonder how much of a factor the impending points deduction is. I would’ve thought a big one, I can imagine as a player perhaps expecting that to kill your season anyway and compromising that real desire to charge on. In terms of this season they would’ve been better off taking their medicine earlier, but I can understand why they did everything they could to defer the inevitable. On their day they’re capable of beating anyone at this level, I think the atmosphere could turn though if we get our noses in front. Easier said than done though, Sheff United would’ve thought the same last night. It’s a biggie, on paper probably ranks in the top 5 toughest games this season given its away. Would be a huge 3 points and a big confidence builder to back up recent results.

To think we lost to them and Charlton, oh for 6 more points!

However I would be delighted if we can keep another clean sheet. More than lots of goals that for me would herald the second coming of a new McKenna side. 3 in a row would mean an awful lot in the context of what it could imply for the rest of the season. 🤞
