| Fred Dibnah. 12:28 - Dec 14 with 1464 views | Benters | Firstly what a name that is Dibnah! He was a complete legend and his love of steam engines is something we share. My Great Grandfather drove a steam traction engine around Debenham and Dedham and got arrested for being drunk in a pub in Dedham for telling the local Bobby to naf off. But getting back to Fred he was a Great Briton 🇬🇧👍 [Post edited 15 Dec 2025 7:22]

There are people up here that aren’t fans, not sure if it was ever proven but lots of rumours he was very poor in his treatment of certain people including his wife. He’s a bit before my time, so it’s more a name and face I recognise than anything else.

It was the ladders he used and the odd plank here and there that got me.
