Yet coming on here, which I’ve been doing for longer than most has taken the edge off the victory. Phil, Gav and the team, this is a fantastic website, but a few are making it less welcoming and are jumping on every post that they don’t agree with. A break is needed. Uppa Towen!

| A break needed. on 20:56 - Dec 30 by BouncebackIpswich | Ok since it offends people saying you support 2 teams, going forward I will say I support Leicester and Leicester only. And will stop referring to Town as we, unless I've had a drink and forget. Hope that will placate people who seem to be offended by my posting on here. I have always had an extremely strong fondness for Ipswich for long as I can remember, probably going back to the epic play off win over Bolton and subsequent 5th place finish and always used to play as Ipswich on the old FIFA's I don't know why I've always had this soft spot other than I think Town have the best badge in the football league and I always liked your kits, who knows how a kids mind works And as an adult thats been strengthened to my visits to Portman Road and going on the pub rounds before games I think the town of Ipswich is fab and really nice people too. But yes it's not the same support as you lot who are Ipswich born and bred, I accept that. Would be nice to not have it leveled at my every post on here though and have to periodically make posts like this 'justifying' my presence on here when it gets jumped on. Ps impressive you played for Cheltenham, was that when they were in the football league, where did you play? [Post edited 30 Dec 2025 20:57]

You are free to support as many clubs as you like. I don't think I have made reference to it before, as I was unaware you supported both. You say you support Leicester and Ipswich, then you support both Leicester and Ipswich. I promise not to mention it again. Sorry if I made it feel like I was having a go, that certainly wasn't my intention. It doesn't matter if you are born in Ipswich or not, attend games or not, any Town fan is welcome. They were non league (what is now the National League) when I played. Up front. Only left because I was homesick.

Also meant to mention, I am old and set in my ways. Please take no notice of my opinions on life.

Perhaps a person can support one (possibly their hometown) club especially, then want another club to win their games unless they play against their preferred club? It's what my husband does. He supports Liverpool as they are his hometown club, but is a massive supporter of Ipswich too, has had a season ticket for lots of years, cheers them on, invests in and enjoys being part of it, as he has lived in Ipswich for well over 20 years. He would prefer Liverpool to win a match between the two, but he considers himself a Town fan, and I consider him one, too. |
If he wants Liverpool to beat us, he’s not a Town fan.

I thought the abuse AM got was more than bad enough ( he's having the last laugh ), but Kasey's has gone to a whole new level. My simple message is this, if you don't like what you're seeing from a player, blame the composer not the musician, or in this case recruitment, not the player.

What you actually mean is you didn't agree with Libero, jumped on his post, called him a troll and then accused people of being negative. Seems the only person doing what you're accusing others of doing is yourself. Enjoy the break. SB |
You don’t seem very happy. There two sides to every narrative, and then there’s the truth. Yours like all - is skewed, bias, and you seem consistantly intolerant.., respect other people or just don’t post. It’s ok to disagree, it’s not ok to be a passive aggressive troll. gav edit. no need for the nastiness. I'll lock this thread now.

Blimey, that’s a pretty wild interpretation of what was actually said. Stokie isn’t a ‘vile individual’ and certainly doesn’t troll or bully people on here. I don’t believe the site currently has any vile posters. Guiltily, I quite enjoy your rants about the club hierarchy, generally because there’s always that tiny grain of truth lurking amidst the salad of unbridled vitriol, but you’re swinging wildly wide of the mark here.

Oh, the irony. ”.. respect other people or just don’t post.” ” …that’s why you’re a bitter nasty troll” ”You’re a vile individual.” Maybe follow your own advice, especially since you seem to have completely twisted the other’s comment too. [Post edited 31 Dec 2025 20:57]

Bizarre but then that's standard for you. My post was exactly what happened in the thread. I would happily say it in person as I've not been rude and it's an accurate account of the events. The funny thing here is you calling for people to respect other people. You're historically one of the least respectful posters on here, your post aimed at me about cryptocurrency was both rude and insulting. The last paragraph of your post is unacceptable. I've done none of those things and I resent the implication. Provide proof or retract it. You're far more guilty of the things you're citing than I am. Calling someone a vile individual for accurately accounting events, you've got real issues. SB

SB is not a vile individual. Nor is he a bitter, nasty troll. He is actually one of the more interesting, intelligent posters who contributes significantly to this forum. As far as I have noticed, that’s the first post I’ve seen from you in some while and you write that? I don’t see any tolerance or respect. Just aggression.

Nothing wrong with Liverpool, or being a Liverpool fan. Or in fact wanting your team to beat Town but don’t call yourself an Ipswich fan.
