he’s a dirty little sod isn’t he, cleaver with it so doesn’t seem to get caught.
not sure him and VAR would be a happy partnership

i really like him, smart signing

I thought he played well. Good run to make the second goal too. Not the most popular amongst our so called supporters, but I think he’s a good defender first and foremost and can do it going forward.

Just gonna leave this one attached, it’s a good read.

Furlong, 3M for a player who really does not impact the game. by Bellevue_Blue 13 Dec 2025 16:29
Besides the assist at QPR, i just can't think of really anything at all positive that he offers this team

There’s done solid judgements in there, pat on the back to everyone who was a fan before today’s assist 😂

Ha- I could have picked from a few tbh, but that was just the first on “my posts” involving baseless Furlong slander (amongst plenty of praise)

You were critical previously? Has your opinion changed?

Furlong. Possibly the most sensible signing for a while by FrimleyBlue 28 Aug 2025 12:39
Cover at fullback
Will imagine he'll be happy being a bit part
Has a very handy long throw which could help us late in games.

A very astute signing imo

Now for the norway lad. Another cm and a striker and we are done

I would like another keeper but think we are set with Palmer.

Also. Nunez. Big challenge for KM. His first non English speaking signing.

a niche perspective

He’s gone over the last month or so from being a very solid defender to being that and much more now with his overlaps and forward runs. The progression has been great to see. If we can get the right side continuing to click as we do on the left, opponents won’t know what’s hit them.

I personally don’t see anything different in his game! I think when he plays with Egeli he has more space to get down the outside on occasion, due to Sindre cutting in/struggle to hold width, but ultimately Darnell is in that RB/RCB Donacien/Tuanzebe hybrid role and he’s been doing a pretty consistently smashing job bringing balance to the side!

I’m glad more are appreciating him now!

The team scores more frequently when Furlong is on the pitch than any other player.

He always did it. It has been a cheap shot from people who dont understand / watch the games properly, to say that he does not.

He’s quietly and consistently gone about his business so far this season and probably his performance against Coventry last Monday had a lot of supporters stand up and take notice of how good he has been for us. Long may it continue.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

I don't think you've been watching the games properly then. Darnell in the 1st few months of the season has played so many sideways and backwards passes, and was a factor in the frustration that has built up. It's just in the last month that he's started to play more positively, and it's great to see - it's what we needed, and whether that is gelling with players like Sindre/Casey, whether it is instructions from the coaching team, whether he's been listening to criticism or any combination, the obvious fact is that he is now making more forward runs and forward passes. Long may it continue. He's a great defender, and with link ups and overlaps down the right, we will become a real threat from that side as well.

Don't you know we're ENTITLED to expect a player who we buy to be 100% perfect from the first game.

Same old problem with too many Town fans, they cannot accept a player requires time to adjust to a new team/manager.

I recommend looking at the data.

Defensively he's been superb last two games. When he does get forward he actually delivers a decent cross, a shame he doesn't do this a bit more often though.

It’s understandable considering he’s essentially playing the same RB/RCB role that Tuanzebe used to- he’s there to set the base and give balance to the team, to enable Leif to go marauding and to give whoever’s playing wide right the freedom to hold the width.

He seems to have taken the mantle of being the niggly sod in the team, seemed to really revel in that against Coventry and winding their fans up, and there were a couple of moments yesterday too.

The main point with our right back (see Tuanzebe and Donacien too) is that their primary focus is defensive and to tuck in a bit, to allow Davis to bomb forward on the other side, and he does that defensive role excellently.

I do think he has offered a bit more forward threat in the last few weeks too, but that's not his main role in the team.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.
