Sorry to stoke the fires again but do we think they might have somehow got that game on if the weather was the same?

Of course. It suited them get get Sundays game called off so the effort to get the match on was always going to be …….limited.

I don’t blame them either. If I was a Portsmouth fan I’d have considered it a right result. We just need to punish them for it by giving them a good beating.

Portsmouth fans did consider it a result, (as it were), not sure I've ever seen fans celebrate a game being called off before, but there was plenty of that on the old socials.

Well think back to Barnsley, that worked out really well.

We need to get over it.

It's football. You take the advantages you can. If it was the other way around there would be loads of posts saying cry more and that Ashton was playing 3D chess etc.

Truly impaired.

See it another way too

We didn't play on a potentially dangerous pitch in places that could have resulted in an Azor or Nunez injury

Obviously nothing to suggest they would have done, but you know what I mean

Well of course, last Friday and Saturday the day time temperatures didn’t get above 2 degrees, night time temperatures were -3 over Three consecutive nights.
For the record this Friday day time is 6 degrees. Some fans need to get over the postponement and move on.

I take it you weren't at Blackburn back in October then. We celebrated that call off as if we'd won the game.

Not quite sure why this was downvoted. They did what they did because it was in their best interests. Who can blame them for that? The blame actually lies with weak regulation that allows clubs to buy players rather than invest in the infrastructure.

If Portsmouth and all clubs were told before the season started that they would be fined/suffer points loss, they would have got that game on either by investing in the pitch or pitch protection, under soil heating etc or bringing in kit to stop the pitch freezing. Same re Blackburn and flooding.

Set standards for each division. That way over time facilities at all levels would improve.

Guarantee whatever the weather they will do everything in their power to get the game on. Hence they didn't with ours, wanted the extra rest and time for injuries to maybe improve.
