| Morsy doing Morsy thing at Bristol... 19:47 - Jan 10 with 4312 views | Nutkins_Return | Worrying. How the F is he straight back into 90 mins and beating Watford 5-1. And someone suggesting he was just off retiring to Kuwait. The guy is a machine. Hope he does well -as long as no impact on us if course ;) | |

| Morsy doing Morsy thing at Bristol... on 09:20 - Jan 11 by MK1 | The £11M is paid in installments, not one lump sum. |
Any fees Brizzle pay this January will similarly be paid in installments so it doesn't really matter. That money effectively sits on their books as an asset even if it's paid over time. That said £11m doesn't get you a lot these days, unless you pull a couple of rabbits out of the hat it's not the kind of money that turns a midtable team into a promotion winning one.

| Morsy doing Morsy thing at Bristol... on 09:17 - Jan 11 by BeachBlue | I was about to say the same. I genuinely think he wanted and perhaps needed, a fresh start and a new challenge. I can't imagine myself rejoining my old employer after I changed jobs 14 months ago. |
Agree with this. Morsy is the type of player that moves clubs throughout his career. 3-4 years seems to have been his optimum. Some people are like that. I certainly moved jobs regularly and learned that my optimum was about three years in any role. Some of my chums/acquaintances were more than happy doing the same thing for the same people year in year out. We are all different. One day, we may hear Morsy’s take on what happened. Until then, I see it as unfair to beat up him or the football club over what we don’t actually know.

| Nah, the alternative was…. on 08:46 - Jan 11 by Churchman | Did we know he’d be playing against us six months later? Should we have prevented a player that had done so much for us from moving to a place where he could have earned a lot of money at the end of his career? Did we beat him out of the door against his will? We are dealing with real people here, not names in a computer game. The club has made plenty of poor decisions but at the time (and that’s what matters), releasing Morsy to pursue a lump of £ at the end of his career was not one of them. |
Done so much for us? Don’t get me wrong, he was a great player and great captain for us on the pitch but deliberately refused to show solidarity with a minority of our fanbase and he was only here for under four years. Hardly a testimonial qualifier.
