As I said in another thread, Ipswich have the luxury that we don't need to scramble around at all. We already have a well-functioning squad which is getting better all the time. If Town sign nobody, it won't be a disaster.
So we have the freedom to put out speculative bids on players who would improve the squad still further, knowing that a rebuff doesn't leave us particularly short. |  |
