Thanks for sharing that. The club is really on top of its game with memorials.
It's very sobering to see so many young and old, familiar faces as well as those unknown to me. My dad was on there last year.
May they all Rest in Peace and their friends and family find comfort in being part of such a wonderful community.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

The memorial at PR is a very moving tribute, and this is just so special

That was beautiful and genuinely brought a tear to my eye.
Every single person has a life story that we'll never know and unique memories of games but all of us connected by our love for the Town.
It reminds me that death is a part of life and that life is for living.
Rest well all and COYB.

Nice touch to put all the names around the advertising boards when they played the video before the game.

I missed that - that’s really good. Something else they do is record the video being played on the screen and send a copy to the relatives. The club have really stepped up their game over the last few years.

Just watched it and was a bit shocked to see someone from Sudbury who I used to speak to in my local. Didn't know he had gone.

Bristol Rovers had their one today, and a week ago very courteously asked Colchester to send them names and photos of any regular away fans who died last year, and included those in the pre-match montage. Much appreciated .

Very nice touch, always awful when you see some younger faces in there.

My mother was one of the faces in that video .For several years she fought off MS and early onset Dementia .Poignantly even when she forgot everything else ,she always remembered being a Town Fan .Angie died wearing a Town top and was buried in one .
I would like to say to anyone caring for a relative , please don't feel you are alone and please get help if you need it .
Love and best wishes to you all .

Had no idea that Huddy had passed away.
As a boy I would often see him drinking in the Westgate Ward Social club pre match, great character.

RIP your mum Angie.

The club do this very well and it’s special. My dad was one of those names two years ago. Sadly, because I was committed to a charity lunch I couldn’t attend. The club sent me a video of it done on a a handheld by a member of staff and a couple of programmes which had his name in. They couldn’t have been more helpful.

The little things do matter.

It meant a lot to me. Yesterday I looked at the pictures and the names and despite sadness, I felt pride in the football club and a certain happiness seeing all those individuals with all our shared and differing life experiences. One thing can never be taken away:

Once a Blue, always a Blue.
