Similar sort of profile in a way - similar sort of age, similar amount of first team experience. Fewer goals, but better league on paper (better than Egeli's pre-EFL club I mean).

Egeli comes across as being so level headed, so one would hope that the transfer fee is not weighing too much on his mind, but I guess you never know. Having Burns back will surely take some of the pressure off Egeli, and also give him another professional to learn from. Different strengths from each other, but that's a good think in terms of Egeli taking stuff on board from him I think.

That's still absolutely wild however much their commercial revenue is, particularly for a non-parachute club

If their revenue supports it, then its no different to us buying Egeli.

I'd question whether they do, I appreciate they will have some wriggle room because of League One and League Two stints

We are in a totally different situation with parachute payments and £80 million worth of players sales though

They have already spent about €37 million returning about €5 million on sales, to spend another €23 million on a record Championship signing is pretty wild

That must put them pretty close to the highest spenders this season

In the League two campaign they had a higher revenue than all the championship clubs except the parachute teams. It's highly likely they had revenue of a premier league team last year. They're good for it, and it's not surprising to see them spending more. They're basically the form team other than us and they're right in contention, so they might as well go for it and see if they can get another promotion.
