There are agents who approach clubs to try to engineer deals and sort out the actually representing the player angle later. Obviously, this is just me speculating in the current situation. But seems a very unlikely move from the player and club's perspective.

I'm not sure transfer talk on this level really affects players anymore in the way it did, unless there are rumours of a huge club coming in for a player. Its all par for the course now. | |
