the insults are making you look a rather unpleasant person. i don’t get the need for such anger personally.
all i’ve done is ‘guess’ that this player is of better quality than what we have. and it’s lead to 3/4 really aggressive posts from you. it’s unfair, and unwelcoming

Which bit is the insult? If you are a Town fan but you only ever do the team/club down while simultaneously being positive about Norwich (who are 15 or 16 places below us in the table by the way) then you're a pretty shit fan. I'm not angry about that either, you do you hun.

when was your last positive post? what do you love about itfc in 2026 (4 wins, 1 loss, 10 for, 5 against)?
why do you guess that a random player who's never thrived outside the norwegian league would be better than 2 proven championship strikers and a promising young talent?
[Post edited 28 Jan 23:32]
i am guessing that, because i can. because i’ve watched the 3 we have all season and been hugely underwhelmed by them. it would appear i’m not only in my thinking of that either.

I don’t get The need for sneering swipes at ITFC because Norwich might be signing some bloke from Norway’s pub league. I quote:
‘Be a laugh if that Danish fella turns out to be ok though, as it'll really make our recruitment team and a few in the fan base look a little silly.’.
You’ve still not explained why it’d ’be a laugh’. Let me guess: I know, you were just trolling. Or was it simply abuse towards ITFC? You choose.

i’ve made 1 post guessing a player they might sign is better than what we have. based on the performances of the 3 players we have i don’t think that’s a wild thing to say.
1 post ‘positive’ about norwich. if that even is that positive?
you’re being aggressive and it’s not fair. i hope you aren’t like this in real life if someone says something you instantly take a dislike to. and if you are i feel sorry for those that are around you

Well I guess it's stuff like this as well though, mate:
but on us getting to Boro, for me it all depends on getting a striker AND sorting this shoddy away form. I personally think it’s PO for us this season, that’s not to say i’ll be roaring them on weekly, and be over the moon if we get 1/2.
Please don't feel sorry for the people around me, they're all very happy.

my point in that post stands, how can one team have no chance of something, when another (in a similar situation) has every chance? i just found it amusing, i get the blue glasses go on (and as they should) but i’m allowed to see both sides, aren’t i?
they of course will tell you they are happy, maybe reflect on why they can’t tell you otherwise.

Can you guys stop willy waving? There are a lot of town fans who'd like a new #9 and it doesn't make them a norwich fan. New posters always attract criticism which isnt very welcoming. Give them a chance to post on other topics before you tar and yellow feather them.
If you liked my post, please take the time to upvote it. It's very much appreciated.

I’m not sure I agree. New posters do not always attract criticism. Nor do followers of other clubs. In fact it’s the opposite, usually starting with cheese preferences. New posters offering nothing but negativity or trolling do. Why would you join a forum to do that? To change the world?
Of course everyone is entitled to a view and if everybody agreed on everything it’d be beyond boring. No point. But equally if the forum becomes dominated by the purely miserable and deliberately negative it’ll become equally pointless.
We are already seeing it with the tide of misery following any poor result which makes it pretty unusable for a few days in a way it never was even during the dark days of Evans when there really was something to moan about.
Ultimately is up to the owners what TWTD is to become and up to individuals whether it’s worth contributing to.

As Bodo are now in the champions league play offs and could face Real Madrid if they can beat Benfica, would you swap that for a side in the lower reaches of the Championship?

And why would they sell one of their first choice players for a relatively low fee when they are about to get a very healthy additional Champions League payment?

they're doing a job for a team which is functioning very well. i'm sure we'll be looking for players who can enhance the team, but we'll be shopping in a different market to championship also-rans like norwich. if we don't buy him, it's because he's not good enough or doesn't fit our very successful system
why do you guess that a norwegian with far less experience of english football will do better than those 3 picked out by one of the highest rated managers in uk football?
when was your last positive post? what do you love about itfc in 2026 (4 wins, 1 loss, 10 for, 5 against)? i'm giving you lots of chances to find common ground with ipswich supporters here

I f'cking wouldn't! No way!
The interesting thing from a Norwich perspective is now that we have a manager getting results with the same players, plus new ones arriving and making an instant impact, was the problem not Knapper, but Manning all along?
Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa

they're loving manning up in huddersfield so far, so maybe sargent was your main issue all along!
offload him and you may reach your full potential (10th in the championship? )

I do apologise, today hasn't seen me have the capacity to get on here to reply to this.
But here we go
Of those 5 games, some incredibly pleasing moments, and some (I have to be honest) that I felt were games we "should" be winning without making a song a dance of that afterwards, I'm very aware "should win" is a dangerous statement to make in football, as it doesn't work that way, however we have a massive helping hand this season financially, and a manager that is earning a PL wage. So whilst i love seeing us beat Oxford and get 3 points, I wont be swinging from the lampshades because of it.
To be more specific to certain games;
Coventry - for me this was in my top 2/3 best games we have had under McKenna. I stood there gobsmacked at how brilliant I thought we were. And honestly, even though how good we played, at half time I still thought we'd fail to score - in my brain I'm thinking "we need a striker of real quality" How pleasantly surprised I was when we did, and rounded off a fantastic game of football from us. Nunez was incredible that night
Oxford - off the back of Coventry I was going into this expecting the win. wrong of me, but as mentioned above with the leg up we have the win was a no brainer for me. controlled the game made it a little difficult at times for ourselves - my main take away "we need a striker of real quality"
Blackpool - Not much to say really, lower league, strong squad, we won but made hard work of it - my main take away "we need a striker of real quality" (even though if we had a quality number 9 I doubt he'd have played this game)
Blackburn - could we get a 3rd win on the bounce in the league, something we hadn't done this season? Yes we did, professional solid performance - my main take away "we need a striker of real quality" as 3-0 could have easily been 6/7-0 with chances we wasted.
Bristol City - Return of Sam. could we get a 4th win on the bounce in the league? We done a proper job. many times i was watching thinking how we were really dominating them, and they looked poor my main take away "we need a striker of real quality"
3 clean sheets, Burns coming back and looking lean/strong/quick, Clarke showing that JP isn't missed, consistent thought across the entirety of this season, possibly even going back to when we knew Delap was off in Feb/March 2025 of " we need a striker of real quality" - I make no apology for that, if it makes me a "norwich fan" then so be it.
Now to answer the other points; Q) why do you guess that a norwegian with far less experience of english football will do better than those 3 picked out by one of the highest rated managers in uk football? A) I think you may be going a little deep on a nothing comment really, from what I have seen of our three they really wont take much beating for a player to be better than them. dont get so offended by that.
-------------------------------------------- (you've said) "it's because he's not good enough or doesn't fit our very successful system"
(my reply to that) Akpom doesnt fit our system, SS never has. likely more that are questionable/havent worked out. ---------------------------------------------- (you've said) "they're doing a job for a team which is functioning very well. i'm sure we'll be looking for players who can enhance the team, but we'll be shopping in a different market to championship also-rans like norwich."
(my reply) we have beaten a number of teams we should be beating. At times having Hirst out there has been like having 10 men, not to mention Walle who is showing very little as yet. We shopped in the same market as Birmingham (with fans gloating) that we'd beaten them to sign Akpom.
I hope that covers the majority of what you raised/

I might be wrong but I’d be pretty sure our recruitment people would know about him and that secondly if we want him and Norwich want him than we’d be strong favourites to sign him….
So I guess if we’re not after him he’s not all that or we’re looking at someone a bit better.
Or we're looking at him and managed to keep it quiet.
