Dan Neil has been training at good level, but match fitness isn't the same, but trained all week. Pleased to bring him in, light after Cam Humphreys left and with Nunez playing more at number 10. Good experience, good player, plays as an eight and a six, leadership, fitted in well.

Walton important, only him and Wes at the club still from when KMc took over. Taken a lot of dedication and loyalty to be here for so long. Keeping unit very strong.

McAteer making really good strides both behind the scenes and on the pitch. Player has qualities which are really hard to find. Lots of things to make it hard for a player to settle, big fee, coming from a rival, expectation. Late developer, grew late, so really young in those terms. 6ft, rapid, good with both feet, potential to keep improving. Like a lot of lads, didn't hit rhythm at the start of the season but kept at it and has taken steps forward. Wes has come back in that time with his history at the club and has settled back in really well. Think Kasey has a chance of a really good career going forward. Wes at similar age was right-back at Fleetwood.

Played PNE at a time when we were still bedding in. Good team, good manager, good players, good away record. Last weekend bad day, red card, gave bad goal away. Tough Championship team, not going to roll over, unlikely to lose heavily two weeks in a row. They'll be desperate to get back into the form they've been in earlier in the season.

Movement before Monday? Things still possible, not expecting my phone to ring in the next 10 minutes. Situation hasn't changed, focusing on players here, happy with them. If we can't find a player that adds, then we'll crack on with the squad here.

Definitely possible we won't add to squad. Comfortable with that? Went into the window knowing there has been a big turnover and the squad is improving, but looking at squad and whether someone can improve us in particular positions. So far, Anis and Dan have come in. If we don't do that in any other position, we'll push on.

Sixth loan? Possible for any to be cut short? Not in the plan to cut any short. Not fair to players to have players left out as too many loans but not something we'll look at.

Such a calm and assured bloke isn't he! Other managers have thrown hissy fits this window about adding players and he just goes about his business, quietly managing everyone's expectations.

He’s never ever even stated that we need another striker either, if he’s happy with the options we’ve got then so should the fans be.

Szmodics, had one or two offers, nothing acceptable. If that doesn't change by Monday, then he'll stay. If he goes, we've got plenty of players who can play in his roles, pretty good options. Not thinking to do that.

Timescale on Philogene and Marcelino, one could be back Tuesday, but both definitely back for Wrexham in the league.

Baggott loan exit looking unlikely unless things change a lot.

I make him right on McAteer, he's definitely got something. Absolutely rapid, fit as a butchers dog and works hard, just needs to find additional quality in the final 3rd. He's very Burns like, I guess the difference was Burns from Fleetwood didn't cost 12 million.

I did wonder why Radio Suffolk asked that question out of the blue. I guess they may have been told/tipped off that he's featuring. I wouldn't be against it. Walle Egeli's time will come again in a busy Feb.

Unusually forthright in his comments about a player's possible exit!

Macateer no problem for me bags of energy tracks back,
Should have had more assists that's the strikers,
Should have scored a couple,
Will come good,

Either by instruction or not it would be nice to see him play a bit more with white paint on his boots and actually decide to go straight line up the wing to stretch and create the opportunity of a cut back. It would also help if the team was looking to find him in these 1 v 1s as we do with Wes.

He's got all that. I think he's just a player that needed a long time to settle in to a new team with new things expected of him. He looked nervous from the start and not really using his full 'aggression' (that's not quite the right word), but over the last few games he's started to show some fire and 'proactiveness' (again, poor word) and is putting defenders more on the back foot.

I'm still surprised at how big he is. He's one with the physicality to make the step up too, and if KMc can fire him up to impose himself he'll be a really good player for us. Of course he's also been unlucky with unconverted assists.

Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!
