This has been discussed on here earlier, but heard from a good police source yesterday. That everyone has to be bused in from Portman Road if you want to attend the Norwich away game at Carrow Road. Absolutely crazy, anyone thinks we are in for a riot. No thought for fans who live further away and once again giving into our two tier policing policy presently in action throughout the country.

Yes, this is true, and the ticket HAS to go to the person in the name it was bought.

Tickets to be given out on the coach.

Absolute boll0cks.

Ashton, stop licking your own ring for a change, and maybe actually do something about this. I know you read my posts, Mark.

Personally I live just outside Norwich, so I’ve got to travel down to PR and then get coached back to Norwich for the game. Am I then going to have to get the coach back to PR and then get myself back home?

You should live in Kent, be a season ticket holder and go to virtually every away game, then you will know what travelling is all about.

Indeed, I rarely ever get back home before 8pm after a Saturday game, wherever it is played.

Restrictions on people's free movement in their own country. Yeah that sounds about right for what we are experiencing in our country nowadays.

I can barely believe that replying to you is necessary but there are plenty of examples of this over the years with other clubs, including South Wales derbies, and whoever it is Burnley or Blackburn consider their local rivals.

I think South Wales Police have done similar for their 2 teams matches.

Yes but there is no need or justification for our fixture. Supporter clubs and both clubs should be pushing back hard against this. Not sure they will though.

Doesn’t mean it has to happen here.

A lot more trouble between all those than what goes on down here.

It’s not freedom of movement, there are literally no trains that day from
Ipswich to Norwich.

So you rock up at Ipswich station along with several hundred other fans, to get the rail replacement bus service.

Where are they going to put all the coaches that hold 56 people per coach?
Where are they going to contain the several hundred people whilst they try and exit the station and get on the coaches?

Game should’ve been played on the Friday or Monday night.

Because that’s following Easter weekend where we play on the Friday (Southampton away) and Monday (Brum home) so then playing again on the Friday was suboptimal as they are two tough games already.

Maybe so, we did play Tuesday/Friday not long ago though.

Could’ve done the Monday night then.

Not saying I agree with it, it was more to counter the "sounds about right for what we are experiencing in our country nowadays."

I shall be sitting quietly at the front encouraging the driver, as we all should.

(I won't, I am nowhere near getting tickets for this game, and will probably go to the pub).

As for the Monday night, keeping in mind we have the Portsmouth
match to reschedule, the club may not want to add a quick turn-around between the derby and M’boro at home to an already congested fixture list (Portsmouth already have a match on the Tuesday so the match won’t be scheduled for then).

Personally, congratulations to Leif, but I’m more concerned about him potentially missing a match for the birth of his baby!

Burnley and Blackburn are each other's rivals! It's nonsense and should be pushed back hard from both clubs and supporter groups.

If you see me with a crate of Coca-Cola then rest assured it’s just Coca-Cola in the bottles.

Yes and Portsmouth Southampton as mentioned but that’s not a new thing for those games. Happened for a while whenever they’ve been played.

Personally I think the decision has been made purely because there isn’t a train service that day. There was no issue when they came to us on the train.

It’s whether it sets a precedent for future seasons…. (But then after April we won’t have to play them again for a while will we?!)

....I haven't been on a happy clappers coach for about 30 years, Plymouth away for some reason, what's the score with booze?

Obviously it's not allowed but I assume they aren't gonna bother checking every bottle of "Lemonade".

It’s nothing to do with free movement. It’s down to the club who and how they accept who enters the ground. No different to any private property.

You’re still free to travel to Norwich or any public space.

The club may well have considered it, but we Middlesbrough in what could be a promotion defining match on the Saturday - preference could be to have a full week of training/recovery as opposed to losing 2 days due to the match moving.

Yeah it’s not allowed, illegal etc.

Although they’ve relaxed the no hot food rule at times this season so I hear will come in handy for the stop at Diss services.
