This has been discussed on here earlier, but heard from a good police source yesterday. That everyone has to be bused in from Portman Road if you want to attend the Norwich away game at Carrow Road. Absolutely crazy, anyone thinks we are in for a riot. No thought for fans who live further away and once again giving into our two tier policing policy presently in action throughout the country. |  | | |  |

Assuming legitimate (and I've heard something similar), this is the sort of thing that both us, and those clowns up the 140, need to push back on, firmly, against the pitiful Norfolk & Suffolk plod.
It's a game of football, which, frankly, has been treated with such trepidation by the plod since the Maundy Thursday game in 2011, that an outsider would assume Boca were playing River Plate.
Sunday kick-offs, being kept in at the end of the game, having to take the 'scenic' route in from Norwich Station to the away end past Trowse railway depot....
Mental, mental overkill. Why on earth bother going? Sitters has mentioned previously it's the worst away day out there, and he's right... except, of course, in counter to my whinging above, it will very likely be the best away day this year, which I suppose is the point. [Post edited 8 Feb 15:54]

I am not sure how they can police how fans get there. However, I understand they always marshal all away fans to the station afterwards and to attempt to leave the group if you had made alternative arrangements to get there are very difficult. |  |

My understanding is that you have to collect your ticket on the bus from Ips to Norwich. So, travel another way/time and you don’t get your ticket. | | | |

But it's already massively over the top; it was very lairy for that Maundy Thursday game (I can only remember the build-up, no idea what happened in the game); ever since it's been, honestly, far too 'nice', especially at their place.

There are no trains from Ipswich or stations between Ipswich and Norwich. I do wonder if the (alleged) buses decision is to ensure there’s no issues with the replacement bus service. If it’s club operated then surely it means the London/Essex/Ipswich based supporter doesn’t have to hope they can get on the one or two coaches available as rail replacement? | | | |

Haha yes but even with that said it can’t be missed.
I don’t have much issue with getting the coach personally but know it will be a big inconvenience to a lot of people and the principle of it.
I at least hope the club offer it FOC or with significant discount if it has to be like that. | |
