Must males have very short fingernails for fear of being seen as too feminine?

Sorry, i mean the tips protruding from the end of the actual finger. ...already pretty short in my book, but just wondering if my book is wrong?

A small, manicured amount of white tip is totally acceptable. Any more than that, and you are running dangerously into Harry Enfield 'dirty old git' territory. IMHO.
To be clear, the nail should not grow taller than the tip of your finger. That's just plain wrong.
While on the subject, how much armpit hair growth is acceptable on a woman if you've been married for over 20 years? Asking for a friend... [Post edited 9 Feb 16:04]
