not heard of the channel, who do these chaps support?
Enjoyed the reaction of the guy on the right, as it mimicked my own :)
Its a really good Championship podcast. They are both Derby season ticket holders but the bloke on the right is a big admirer of Ipswich and McKenna. Tipped us to go up two years ago when no one else did.

I've heard bits of them and they normally are pretty good. I'm not sure how anyone can say Derby were the better team, unless you forget/exclude most of the first half.

IIRC we only really dominated the first 20th minutes in that first half. Derby were much better after that with Agyemang causing Kipre all sorts of problems, albeit they didn’t create much despite their improvement. It wasn’t easy for us.

Derby had one shot on target all match, which was the penalty. Thought they caused us very few problems as an attacking force even if they had a fair bit of the ball and we should have had the game done and dusted via the two chances just after the first goal or Wes Burns's chance in the second.

I would sit in the middle of the two of them.
I think the key thing is they didn't actually create a real opportunity all match (except the penalty) whereas we created more than enough. Mehmeti, Burns and Clarke had really good chances.
Closest I can really recall them coming was Brewster shooting miles wide.
My honest take on the match having watched it back - A good away performance against a decent side. Derby were bound to have dominant spells because they were a goal down. Our quality is starting to shine through and we won't be bullied. Furlong and matusiwa are absolutely rocks.

It was the other bloke that fell in love with us in 2024, the Justin chap said we wouldn’t make it because of our defense.
I think they’re decent overall and enjoy the listen most weeks, they’ve nailed a lot about to be fair. I also learn quite a lot about other teams around the league as I don’t know that much about squads that haven’t been in the PL recently.
There’s quite a lot of championship podcasts and YouTubers I like compared to the PL ones who are often talk sport influencer type wannabe’s.

Yeah, I’d agree with that. I wouldn’t say it was a complete control the game without the ball display from us, as we were rattled at times and benefited from their poor decision making around the box. But yes, we looked much more threatening. That’s the story of our season and probably reflects the better squad. We just need to be more clinical and then one of these days someone getting thumped 6-0.

Yes. Don't know why I typed the right when it was the left. Justin was very sceptical and completely wrote us off when we slipped down to 4th in the January.

Agrees. They had a little spurt second half but apart from that, didn't have much of a threat.
