This is in the back of my mind. I'm keeping my eye on that 6th spot as much as any position in the table. I suspect whoever gets there will be the form team of the run in rather than falling into it, unless they do so well, they usurp Millwall//Hull/ (us??) into 5th.
It still could be anybody down to about 17th and as for the worst possible match up? I'm trying not to think about it.

I do think theres simply too many teams between them and the play offs, they all wont/can't keep losing.

To try to ease your fears, just to reach 70 points, they need another 31 points and they’d have to average 2.21 ppg, Realistically the level to reach the playoffs is 73, which would require 33 points at 2.42. Even with their upturn in form, they’ve only managed 26 from the last 14, so they would have to turn into prime Barcelona to get close to the playoffs. [Post edited 10 Feb 20:28]

It's certainly happened before...
The amount of times I spent weeks looking at teletext hoping we'd finish 2nd and then we didn't quite make it, only to lose out in the playoffs.
We may yet make the top 2. But if we don't, I think we'd be vulnerable away from home against any of the other sides, given our away form. We may make it through of course, but I wouldn't be massively confident that we'd brush the other teams aside.

Can’t see it but if it happens then bring it on. No point even considering promotion if we can’t beat them over 2 legs.
