| pub recommendations… on 09:33 - Feb 18 with 945 views | Guthrum | The 'Spoons weren't letting away fans in. Next we tried the Horse & Jockey, a bit further into town. About six people in there, who looked at us funny. Got the feeling we could have heard faint banjos, were it not for the streo being so loud you couldn't hear anything at all. Didn't stop. We then bumped into a friendly local who told us there was a decent place down Yorke St. But shortly after, were firmly directed by the police to go to the Ironworks (on Town Hill). They were pleasant, but very insistent. The Ironworks was nice enough, reasonable amount of space, staff were friendly. However, they only appear to sell (on tap) lager - of which there was a very wide selection - and flavoured cider. Plus the inevitable Guinness. No bitter. Therer was an outdoor bar in the away end, but no idea what it was like. | |

| pub recommendations… on 09:37 - Feb 18 with 931 views | Mullet | I'd go to Chester to be honest and train in or whatever. Also, the away end is tight, really odd layout where about 2/3rds of the way back you have space to get across. Some of the aisles don't lead to exits it seems so took forever getting out. I wouldn't hope to go for a piss or get anything from the kiosks either. Made Palace away feel like you were in a cathedral | |

Tho, being right down the front, found myself extremely close to the tunnel. The guys in front of us were able to give high-fives to the players.

Indeed, I must have been not far over your right shoulder, couple of rows back. Difficult to recognise people with everyone so well wrapped up against the cold.

Yes, sorry about that. I did have a good look around at HT, but top and bottom were completely separated.

| pub recommendations… (n/t) on 13:17 - Feb 18 with 535 views | Meadowlark | Found a couple of good ones a 20 minute walk from the ground, but I like cask ale, so not really lager/football pubs. I could tell you, but I might pop in again this weekend, and I like a quiet pint, so.... [Post edited 18 Feb 13:19]

Matchday trains get very, very busy... so don't leave it until the absolute last one!
