Don’t expect us to hang around for this guy.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

"Sindre Walle Egeli has enjoyed an impressive season since making a big-money move from Nordsjaelland in August, and is attracting high-profile interest.

Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on Egeli, with the 19-year-old impressing in the Championship as the Tractor Boys mount another promotion bid.

European giants, such as Ajax and Benfica, have already been linked with the right-winger’s signature, and it might not be long until the Tractor Boys can cash in for a significant profit"

No offence to Eggers, but this is obvious b0llocks. I wouldn't say he's been impressive.

To be fair.... I do wonder if a weaker European league like the Eredivisie or the Portugese league would suit him in his development. If we did get an offer where they can match whatever we paid for him... I'd take it in a flash. I understand we need to be patient with him, but he doesn't look like he's learning and there seems to less flashes of skill. Having said that, good to see him score and it just might be the confidence boost he needs. What happened to that step over to get by the full back on the outside and the right footed cross?

The kid is 19 and playing out of postion. When he moved inside like he did in the cup and a years experince in England he will be a differnt beast.

Please give our youngsters time

He was rubbish in the Cup. There's no way he can get ahead of Nunez and Mehmeti at the moment as a 10.

I'm very happy to be patient with him.... but I want to see more from him. Even if its just a glimpse of skill here and there.. And even gradual improvement. This is professional football at a high level. If you want to stick up for him, then outline WHY you think he has so much promise based on what you've seen playing for us recently. That's more persuasive than putting yourself on a pedestal and basically preaching at us saying we can't criticise his performances. If he's so so young, then maybe he should be with the 21's. I've got no problem him learning his trade and putting in shifts in a modest way, but we can't have passengers at this level.
Outline what you see in him lately to illustrate why you think he's improving and learning.

Unfortunately I can easily see us losing Egeli in the summer. He's only 19yrs old and despite his performances in his 1st yr in the Championship, I think clubs will want him now because, "now" is when he'll be at his cheapest.

No-one is saying that you can't criticise his performances, but Poker is right to say give him time. Look at Philogene and Clarke for examples of that.

What I've seen in him lately is a goal in his last game to put us in the lead and ultimately pick up 3 points.
