To be fair it was a ridiculous decision to send him off.

No worries. Whilst down to 10 men they conceded twice and lost the game. Job done.

It would be completely reasonable for them to replay the game - perhaps reschedule it for this weekend and postpone our match so we end up with a four game week…

Am I the only one that thinks it was totally justified?

Borderline, and if the referee decided not to send him off then fair enough, but the striker is going through on goal.

One of those where a still photo of the tackle doesn't reflect the situation accurately, you have to watch it in real time. He's 100% about to have a goal scoring opportunity.

I'm amazed it's been overturned. Not because it was an unquestionable decision particularly, but just because the ref's had a clear view of it and made a plausible-enough judgement of it. Usually there's a pretty high bar for actually overturning things that the ref has actually seen at the time and I'm not sure how this meets it?

It was a very harsh straight red card and no surprise that it was rescinded, Femi Azeez looks a real handful, two footed and great close control, shame he could not be persuaded to join us in January. It would have been handy to have Leif at left back to defend against him, they are all about pace on the counter so we need to be careful about how we push forward on Saturday, I am really looking forward to the game, although it will probably be another low block 10 man defence while hoping to hit us on the break sort of game.

Maybe the ref was big enough to admit that he made a mistake.

If that was us we'd have got another game ban for a frivolous appeal.

Is BJ really a worse defender than Leif? He is clearly not a patch on LD going forwards, but I wonder whether we might be OK in this particular case defending their biggest threat
