Gauging mood: if on 10 mins Monday there is a chorus of NFIAW, would you? on 01:57 - Apr 2 by TheMoralMajority
I'm not sure a football match is the best place to take children if you are concerned about bad language!
So, you’re suggesting that the presence of the youth/future of our club should not be considered?… What a strange post… And in line with much on this board the past week…

I'll ignore it, the same as I do when that repulsive song about Delia Smith is sung. I don't berate anyone for singing it. I ignore it. It's called being an adult and not trying to control other people's behaviour.
Been one of the most frustrating things for me this week, the abject failure of the supporters club to publicly speak out. (But you know my thoughts on that one)

At last, a sensible comment (presently so few & far between)

Songs about Farage, either pro or anti, are going to be really counterproductive. I hope this doesn’t happen, it doesn’t help anyone.
Farage is not the problem in any case. He owes this football club nothing, he just took advantage of the lack of professionalism from the executive.
If anyone cops it, it should be Ashton. He creates this situation, lied about it, doubled down on it, and has exposed the team, management, staff, sponsors, fans, and even Louise Cobbold, to a set of problems that none of them have needed to face.

I think the Louise Cobbold stuff was pretty abhorrent so to say he's blameless even if only in relation to ITFC isn't quite right

How is Farage the problem? Like him or loath him, he’s doing his job.and running rings around our club and his pal Mark.
Mark Ashton. His job is literally to make ALL the executive decisions at the club, he’s literally an employee, and paid to protect the club from this crap, instead he brought it to our doorstep, to gratify his own personal agenda!!! .., then lied to cover it up, and hasn’t stopped lying since, treating fans like village idiots! And no wonder, he gets away with it.
It’s not NFIAW it’s MAIAW …, we are seriously so spineless as a group!!! Can’t even stand up to MA, take the easy option and barrack Farage because it’s easier!!
Sake. It’s like Stockholm syndrome. Any protest has to be about what we CAN control, and OUR future. That’s Mark, not Farage.
ASHTON OUT he’s 100% accountable, nobody else, including Farage.

I think to sing it just carries on with the issue, distracts from the game and will likely affect the team. It could also be divisive which is what I thought we were trying to avoid? Politics should not be in football, period.
Personally, I am happy to let the ownership group decide how best to deal with the situation, there are all experienced professionals and will no doubt have heard from a ton of supporters on the issue.
I want to get behind the manager and the team now, who have nothing to do with this.

Mainly because of the outcry from the not so bright on here ……..

Have either group said anything publicly?
Why does it need to be publicly announced that they are unhappy?
From Phil's article:
"Farage and a Reform social media team were at Portman Road nine days ago with fans and supporters groups subsequently reacting angrily to the Clacton MP being photographed and filmed on the pitch, in the dressing room and in media areas alongside Town shirts bearing his name.
Players are understood to have reacted similarly, while a number of sponsors, believed to include Halo, the University of Suffolk and Ed Sheeran, all contacted the Blues giving their thoughts on the matter."
