Good god he's been some player over the last few games. When Kieran said back in February that he'd been making big strides in training most of us were a bit doubtful if we are honest.

But watching him over the last few games he's now showing a Premier League quality from what I'm seeing. Lets hope he keeps progressing under McKenna.

I think JP had an unusually 'off-it' game tonight. I still think he's a hell of a player, but his feet were all over the place tonight. I don't want to draw longer-term conclusions though because he's been superb this season.

I thought he was poor, generally, last night, too. However, he got a key pass for Furlong's goal and scored a penalty.

I guess I don't mind the rest so much if he does that on a poor day! 😂

One of the first names on the team sheet as things stand.

Strange how things turn around.

Reversely Nunez/Mehmeti who both looked excellent when joining have gone the other way and KM will have a tough decision to make assuming one of them starts on Saturday.

It's great to see what a bit of confidence has done for him. The ugly side of modern day football is where fans target players when they're not doing well; empowered by large transfer fees, wages etc.

Hope he kicks on from here; it brings a huge amount of balance to the team having a proper right winger (as we see with Burns).

Only downside is that the £12m could have been £0m if we bought him from Leicester this summer!

Looking a good replacement for USA bound Wes right now.

Hadn't heard any rumours about Wes going to the MLS - Is this reliably sourced, or twitter nonsense?

It's a done deal.

Very happy for McAteer, and how he's developing. He's got all the qualities we want out of a player on that side and i think he'll be a key player next season with how we want to play, if he keeps developing like this.

Fair play to Kasey he's playing better than I've seen his whole career by some distance. His touch and passing and trust in his left foot have come on leaps and bounds.

I think if you play to his strengths then you clearly have a player on your hands. He's never going to receive the ball to feet and beat 2 men and curl one in the far post but if you want a clever winger to be a goal threat running n behind and help knit incisive moves together he's looking like a good fit.
