So, what do we do now: they have one more day to recover plus have back to back home games. Feel like against their 4-4-2 we would need either Burns or Johnson on the right wing especially since McAteer has started the last two games. But will Burns be fit and if we use Johnson there, who will play left back since Davis seems to be a big question mark. Greaves as left back and Kipre in central defence didn't work against Portsmouth so don't think we'll see that combination again.
Otherwise we'll probably rotate Clarke for Philogene, Nunez for Mehmeti, Hirst for Azon and Neil for Taylor.

At this stage I think we have to just ask for 1 more and try to get a big first 45 and take it from there. If we win on Saturday we've taken a massive step towards our goal, and while nothing is guaranteed on the final day it would mean it takes all the pressure off the Southampton game where we can rotate a bit, play with some freedom, and go there swinging at them. It would probably dampen their enthusiasm for that one too and they might well fancy seeing the back of us out of the playoffs (albeit they've not fared too well against Millwall this season).
I'd probably go unchanged across the back and midfield, keep that continuity, and just bring Clarke and Hirst in for some freshness for Philogene and Azon.
I really rate West Brom at the moment, they're a lot better than their league position suggests and its not a ground we seem to fare well at. They're dangerous down their right, so keeping Johnson at left back makes sense to me.

Yeah they're fooking dangerous, and they'll play with some freedom. I don't think there are many tougher fixtures than the next 2, so hopefully we can find a win from somewhere. Price, Maja, Dike. They've got some dangerous attacking players.
I said it to a friend a few months back, I think we've been shown too much respect at times. I'm convinced the best way to get a result against us is to get at us. Obviously didn't work brilliantly for Swansea but I don't think you're any less likely to get anything from the game than parking the bus. If I were WBA in the form they're in, at home, and safe from relegation I'd have a right pop at us on Saturday. | | | |
