Now they will have some unexpected pressure on them too.

No this is bad, two points was the absolute maximum they were going to get deducted from all the reports I read and all of a sudden they have the same assignment at home as Charlton did against us, they’re just a much better team.
Pretty mental to happen 18 hours before kick off on their last home game of the season.

I quite like WBA as a club, and of course we'd prefer them to be safe when they play us.
But I find it hard to be irritated about any FFP (or related financial rule system) penalty, given that they are too few and far between, and given that if football collapses, it's going to be because of irresponsible financing on an ever spiralling scale.

And the ‘breach’ was to do with their Foundation and how in-kind donation were recorded. Seems a minor administrative error rather than a deliberate overspend to get an advantage.

They now know it is 2 pints which leaves them 6 points clear of Oxford and Oxford have Millwall for their last game and the Owls tomorrow who despite being down are kicking a bit unlike Leicester who Millwall play tonight. | | | |
