If you listen to his interview with the press on kings of Anglia, it wasn’t the Cov or Norwich games which was his highlight for the season it was that game, almost like the team needed the adversity to use it as the turning point for building the team and momentum. Cherish every moment we have of him as our leader. |  | | |

I can still remember turning round to the guy next to me at half time and saying, "this feels like the kind of game we're going to lose".
Actually think that game changed our season, gave the team a kick up the proverbials and forced some changes into how we played out from the back. We became much more solid defensively after that game. |  | | |

That’s obscene. For those of us who only do away games it has felt again like we’re two seperate sides. That can be the curse of aways fans though. In Mick’s time I went for about 2.5 seasons of at least 6-8 games a season without seeing us win. And that includes our PO season in 2014/15. I think
I’ve seen one win in five this year, as it’s not been easy to find the time/tickets. |  |

Which makes it even more odd our home record was so bad in 2024/25. Picked up double the number of points away. Something else to look at for next season, because we've been superb under McKenna at Portman Road in the EFL. |  |

Four? Aston Villa have lost 5 at home this season already.
We lost 14 at home in the PL last term. Keep that down to about 7 or 8, we will be in with a good shout of survival. Probably need 40 points to survive.
6 home wins, 5 draws 8 losses gives 23 points.
Requires 19 points away - 3 wins, 7 gritty draws 9 losses away is 16 points.
Total 39
And that's with only 17 losses from 38 games. Gulp. But that's what we have to do (or better). |  |
