The new manager has definitely improved them, after Manning did his level best to take them down. But they will surely lose 3 or 4 of their better players before next season.

I don't know if they're backward or not, but that forum is certainly full of [ITFC bias switched off] delusional football supporters. It's a very small forum though, so may not be representative of all Norwich fans. Or indeed families.

I'm not talking about the individual decisions level of things, I'm talking about the rabid (and apparently real) inability of a large chunk of 'em to accept the balance of power in East Anglian football has righted itself after a decade or so of being upside down.
I really don't recall that sort of laughable crap on here when they had their period of ascendency - the usual thing was to accept that they were in all ways ahead of us, as distasteful as that may have been to do.
A small handful of OinkUn posters (six?) do the same to loud choruses of "BINNER!  "

I do find their blinkered optimism quite charming. I know the play-offs are extended to eight teams which gives them a chance of getting into those, but they will surely be miles off the automatic places when you consider they will be battling Wolves, Burnley, probably one of Tottenham or West Ham, three of Boro/Saints/Millwall/Hull pus the budgets of Wrexham and Birmingham. Stoke have a fair bit of money to spend as well.
You'd have to assume, given what he delivered after the catastrophe of the Manning era, that Clement will be on a few teams' radars as well. |  |

They obviously have an overly inflated sense of the abilities of many of those players, even though their players are clearly better than they looked under Manning.
The one thing I would say for Norwich is that they don't half know how to pick up a striker on a shoestring. Makama and Toure both appear to be class, and cost next to nothing in our terms.
Mattsson also seems to have something about him, especially under Clement.
But we have a superior squad, as you'd expect given the relative cost. The league table and the derby results are both pretty conclusive ultimately. |  | | |
