| Hot take from the pinkun forum on the latest Nunez thread... 17:53 - May 4 with 3936 views | sohamblue74 | "Currently I would not swap our squad of players and manager for theirs. Don’t see much potential in their squad and they have ground out results rather than winning comfortably. Makama, Toure, Kenny, Mattson, Kellen, Cordoba, Ruairi and Vlad are all better than their players in the same position. Plus Oscar once we find his best position. " Just wow. Incredibly deluded... Made me LOL. Would be very surprised if they do manage to scrape into the top 8 for the playoffs next season. The new manager has definitely improved them, after Manning did his level best to take them down. But they will surely lose 3 or 4 of their better players before next season. Let's be honesty, any midfield with the pedestrian and limited K.McClean in it, is not going to get anywhere near the top two. | | | | |

How can "Oscar" be better than our player in the same position when they don't know his best position and thus who that player would be? SB

| Hot take from the pinkun forum on the latest Nunez thread... on 19:15 - May 4 with 3140 views | Leutard | Its interesting reading that thread that they simultaneously believe that they have a championship super squad far far exceeding the ability of our own players, but they also go out of their way to state how bad our centre backs are. Given the clean sheet at Carrow Road, they must have not been watching their own derby matches? | | | |

Yeah, the fact that whoever it is has seen first hand how we dismissed them with absolute ease, without getting out of second gear. Guess they've got to cope somehow.

I don't know if they're backward or not, but that forum is certainly full of [ITFC bias switched off] delusional football supporters. It's a very small forum though, so may not be representative of all Norwich fans. Or indeed families. Good luck to 'em.

| Hot take from the pinkun forum on the latest Nunez thread... on 21:52 - May 4 with 2470 views | gainsboroughblue | Banging on being the worst championship with the worst ever teams to finish 1st or 2nd., conveniently forgetting they didn't trouble the top 6 of said league with supposed superior players. Sharing a joke meme about us finishing 2nd and McKenna being in danger of being Arteta's replacement at Arsenal (due to 2nd place finishes) forgetting that in context of winning promotion, 2nd place is not really the same level of failure (i.e not a failure at all). It isn't just them though. I've seen a lot of the usual social media collective headloss from fans all over. Fck the lot of 'em. | |

I don't know why people get so wound up about such things. They say far more about those posting/writing them than anything else possibly could.

Having said that - by god it makes for a funny read when you've had a sherbet or two. I'll bet there's a fair few scarecrows on Norfolk farms owned by the likes of GLJCanary and GodlyOstembor getting a right good rage-fuelled pounding tonight. Lollers. Pity the piglets. Oink Oink.

You can say that about this board too (not the backward bit obviously). The level of tint on our blue glasses regarding the many dodgy refereeing decisions, both for and against, is plain to see. Isn't that what football does to fans, brings about a failure of rationality and impartiality?

Ah, but failure of rationality and impartiality is all part of the fun. Bias? Of course. I get enraged at the cheating, and getting away with it by other teams, but when Furlong delivers a large dollop of shthousery, that’s great. Hilarious. But totally irrational. Watching your rivals losing their heads over a former midfielder who moved to us then told them to f off as they circle the drain of mediocrity is plain funny.

I'm not talking about the individual decisions level of things, I'm talking about the rabid (and apparently real) inability of a large chunk of 'em to accept the balance of power in East Anglian football has righted itself after a decade or so of being upside down. I really don't recall that sort of laughable crap on here when they had their period of ascendency - the usual thing was to accept that they were in all ways ahead of us, as distasteful as that may have been to do. A small handful of OinkUn posters (six?) do the same to loud choruses of "BINNER! " But as I say, it's a very small gene pool in that forum, so may not be representative.

| Hot take from the pinkun forum on the latest Nunez thread... on 12:37 - May 5 with 1152 views | Bobbychase | I do find their blinkered optimism quite charming. I know the play-offs are extended to eight teams which gives them a chance of getting into those, but they will surely be miles off the automatic places when you consider they will be battling Wolves, Burnley, probably one of Tottenham or West Ham, three of Boro/Saints/Millwall/Hull pus the budgets of Wrexham and Birmingham. Stoke have a fair bit of money to spend as well. You'd have to assume, given what he delivered after the catastrophe of the Manning era, that Clement will be on a few teams' radars as well. | |

| Hot take from the pinkun forum on the latest Nunez thread... on 13:06 - May 5 with 1022 views | HighgateBlue | They obviously have an overly inflated sense of the abilities of many of those players, even though their players are clearly better than they looked under Manning. The one thing I would say for Norwich is that they don't half know how to pick up a striker on a shoestring. Makama and Toure both appear to be class, and cost next to nothing in our terms. Mattsson also seems to have something about him, especially under Clement. But we have a superior squad, as you'd expect given the relative cost. The league table and the derby results are both pretty conclusive ultimately. | | | |
