To sort out illegal immigration would be a great start.
I do think reform would reduce immigration. They'd introduce policies that would make it difficult for people to stay here and it wouldn't be such a target destination. Trouble is the boats might start going the other way as the country would go downhill fast.

Do you know anyone here who has indefinitely leave to remain? They may have been here for 25 years or more. Reform are seriously looking into removing that and making them apply for an expensive visa which they might not even get. That is peoples partners and friends, not "illegal immigrants".
