They don't make them like that anymore unfortunately. No disrespect to the likes of Sheeran and the very, very, very many other singer songwriters plastered all over our airwaves, but life seems short of decent musicians and bands these days.
Oh Wendy ( and her twin sister Suzanna ) I saw them at some point in the 90's We knew one of their record people and we ended up at some party where Boy George was distracting her from meeting me. At another point I was near Simon Le Bon and whatshername Yasmin ( his wife ) My God she was a gift from heaven.
Bumped by Boy George. Not sure what the implications of that are!

Wow. And what a lineup.

We're definitely not short on decent musicians and bands, but the game has completely changed.
You don't have to be signed, record in a studio, or even be that good to get music out these days, anybody can do it, you can record an album in your bedroom on Garageband. The market has been completely flooded with DIY projects and the real talent has to work twice as hard now to break through the sea of turgid, throwaway music. Plus there's little to no money in it anymore, guys like Martyn Joseph, John Smith, Scott Matthews, and Frank Turner have to maintain pretty relentless touring schedules just to make it viable. The talent is certainly there, you just have to poke around a bit to find it!
