Good video of Jack the lad.

Joy to watch. He's definitely improved this season. I think Prem 26/27 will see a different JC vs the 24/25 one.

He’s a much better player than when he first arrived. An absolute pleasure to watch. Unplayable at times. Yes, the EPL is a lot tougher but with any semblance of service he will do well.

Top player.

He really is the definition of gliding with the ball isn't he. Just seems to have total control over his balance.

Defenders just can't stop him. When he drifts inside it's some sight.

He’s like Darren Currie, but with pace.

Amazing that he isn’t one of the first names on the team sheet.

Remember all those rumours that he was going back to Sunderland? Or wanted to go?

Holds onto the ball so well. Do think he needs to get more shots off and he has to work on going on the outside more and use his left foot. There will also inevitably be the concern that he's too lightweight for the PL, but we'll see next year.

Good lad.

I did have a little chuckle that even in Clarke's highlight reel there's a clip of Azon hitting the post. It was never going to be his season was it?

For Burns’ goal at Coventry, with a simple body movement sent the defender shopping. His ability to go both ways and disguise what he’s going to do makes him unplayable at times. His control is excellent and pace isn’t too shabby either. Top scorer playing the limited number of minutes he did too.

Yes, he can make poor choices and get knocked off the ball easily at times, but he’s always trying something and looking to be involved. I like players like that. For me he’s a better footballer at this moment in time than JP, though the latter has marginally more natural talent. Just a view.

My only criticism is that hair needs sorting as do the Bullard whale@rse shorts and red boots.

I've seen some suggest he is too lightweight & not Prem level. Hard to argue with the evidence we saw with us the previous season but it was hard coming into a new team at that level. I for one, would like to see how he performs next season when he is more settled at the club.

Ditto for Jaden really.

I'd like to keep both around for the simple reason - an insurance policy! they are absolute top end Champ players and the simple fact is, next season we may do 90% of everything we need to do right and still not stay up - the EPL is that brutal.

Give them the whole season, and if we manage to stay up then reassess our position on them and see how they contributed.

He really side foots the ball with power and accuracy in front of goal. The ball pings off his foot.

I think what you say there, is why we should still recruit the very best we can from the championship. Jaden and Jack are top end championship players but 50/50 if they can do it in the premier league.
2 or 3 premier league experience players would be great if we can.
It's easy to say that we should copy Sunderland, but very risky.
If we go down, these high earners will probably want to move on, and we will have to start from scratch again.
Almost planning for the championship the season after next, and building the quality incrementally, rather than all in one go.
I know it won't be a popular opinion though.

I sort of agree, in that we shouldn't dismiss players simply because they are championship at the moment.

We definitely need some prem/overseas signings as well but the point you make about Sunderland and risk is very real

Le Bris used all his contacts to get players he knew of and i'm not sure McKenna has links like that overseas. It worked for them, but if it didn't you wonder if these players would have slummed it in the champ/sulked - the potential to have done a Leicester is very real imo.

We have to do it our own way/what we believe in.

With all those highlights together he appears to be much more right footed than I had realised. He hardly used his left at all, although when he did he seemed to score with it.

Don't boil a kettle on a boat.

Absolutely brilliant player, has developed so well since he arrived. I think he will rip up the PL next season - as long as we have a decent CF, all those "assists" might end up in the onion bag. Some penalty taker too.

Poll: would you rather
