Always good to see a British Club be successful.

No it isn’t. Never Chelsea. Hardly ever Liverpool.

But fair play to Villa. And I hope palace win.

And Arsenal are preferable to PSG, but I don’t want England to clean sweep. So come on Qatar.

Trailing vapour since 1999.

I'll admit I don't want many English teams to do well. I hope PSG beat Arsenal for instance.

However, I don't mind Villa, or Palace.

For some reason, I really hated West Ham winning it a few years ago.

I havent forgivem them for pipping us to the title in 1981! Utterly stupid and childish, and I really should have a soft spot for them as my grandfather grew up in the shadow of Villa Park.

But 1981 ...!

An amazing journey for Tyrone Mings - from Chippenham Town to a European Tropphy - via the best club in the world of course!

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Yeah, nice to see him get a run out in the final. I’d imagine he’s pretty much done there now but I’ve no idea about his contractual position.

I saw all three matches in 1981 when Villa pipped us to the old 1st Division title (included a FA cup victory) whereby we won all three. Having said that I’ve always had a soft spot for them and found their fans to be proper and decent fans.

Hope Arsenal and Palace win too.

Is it?

I am not a nationalist, and don't really care much about England tbh, I would prefer Ipswich do something mediocre than England something spectacular.

Regardless, is it good for a random English team you and I do not support to do well? I would argue that it is better for football, English football, and especially Ipswich, if the wider competition is balanced and more equal in opportunity, and not just about the richest taking all.

Villa are good, congrats to them, but an OK English team beating one of the best of another nation shows the inbuilt inequality. If England get all three European trophies I think it would be terrible for football.

Love watching PSG, not just a moneybags team either, some talented younger players coming through. I watched them play at Barcelona earlier in the season without 5 regulars, Kvaratskhelia, Dembele, Doue, Neves ( injured in the warm up ) and Marquinhos, all normally nailed on starters. They went one down early, took a bit of time to get up to speed, ended up winning 2-1 and Barca could hardly get out of their own half in the second half, totally outplayed on their own turf by a team missing 5 stars.

If the true PSG turn up against Arsenal, the trophy's only going in one direction. However, as we know, it's a one off match and not everything goes to form.
