| How on earth 17:34 - May 21 with 1197 views | Cheltenham_Blue | Is Tonda Eckhart still in a job? If this was anything else: Gross misconduct, don't let the door hit you on the way out. The longer he remains the more definite it becomes that people above him, not only knew, but signed off on it. [Post edited 21 May 17:34]

Likely waiting for FA to ban him so there's no compo.

Yes definitely. Given the recent weird statements from the club and their appeal you have to wonder if this goes beyond the coaching staff. They had a very suspect 6 foot tall ball boy in the 2nd leg who was less than sporting.

There's no compensation required for gross misconduct.

The longer it goes without people being sacked, the more likely it is that it is endemic within the club, God only knows where this could all end up.

But has he broken any club rules for it to fall under gross misconduct?

| How on earth on 19:28 - May 21 with 709 views | Swansea_Blue | If for no other reason he should be sacked for attempting to culturally appropriate the Japanese with his first name. Oh, and for looking like an ax murderer. Being a cheat is the least of his problems. | |

| How on earth on 19:39 - May 21 with 651 views | BloomBlue | The BBC is reporting 'it was top down' so maybe Eckhart's boss told him they should spy and his boss, the owner, also told them to spy. Its difficult to sack somebody if they were only following their managers direction. | | | |

If its gross misconduct sacking, which ought to be slam dunk to prove, theres only compensation if they mess up the process they follow to do it. So I'll be generous to them and say they're taking their time to ensure theres no possibility of paying money to anyone involved.and following proper process The ungenerous conspiracy view is obviously alot more than the manager and the intern were involved or knew what was happening and are therefore also guilty. And this could get really messy for all at that club

If he was solely responsible. Yes, they’ve just been booted from a Wembley final. However it now looks like it was known about at the top. The question remaining is was it Tonda convincing his bosses that it happens all the time in Germany and it’ll be fine, or was it his CEO telling him that it was ok, and that the worst that could happen is a 500k fine, “after what Leeds got” It’s a right old mess
