| Martyn Pert.... 09:30 - Jun 11 with 1371 views | Marshalls_Mullet | ....its been said that KM's staff are staying? Would MA look at Brentford and appoint from within? Pert is a little older that KM, but of a similar intellectual mould, and a career coach who's playing career was short. He also has a long history with Ashton going back 20+ years. | |

....of course. But my point was, that maybe there is no incoming external head coach / manager.

However, if he wishes to say, then can see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being a good fit. That said, I think we'll ultimately go with a more pragmatic manager, with the view to stabilising in the Premier League for a couple of years.

If you read his history that's not entirely true. Was manager at El Nacional of all places, but was replaced by new owners before he had even met the players.

Which would limit the upheaval. Best of both worlds | | | | Login to get fewer ads

That's what I wonder too might play a part. Ashton shouldn't rip up everything we have. We have a squad built to play the McKenna way. OGS working alongside existing staff might be the best chance of that continuing.

Yep. And an amazing history it is. If anyone hasn’t seen the EADT article I linked on another thread. Has language skills, experience in N. America. S. America, Middle East and all over Europe, so no doubt plenty of contacts still. Scouting and recruitment could be wide-ranging if owners & MA agreed. Big fan of him.
