Surely head to the stadium and give silent thanks for Sir Bobby at some point? Could be part of an overall pilgrimage.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Turin itself isn’t super nice - quite industrial.

If you get the chance, get out into the surrounding countryside and mountains would be my suggestion.

Go up to the Superga basilica to see the monument to the Grande Torino team.

Even better do so while wearing a pair of Superga.

Head to the mountains would be my advice. Largely industrial city - but very accessible to shed loads of mountains in the Alps.

Turin is shrouded in mystery.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Listen to these?

Better to stay silent and be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt

Pity you never asked some years ago, I've been but quite some time ago ( not for football ). What I can remember is enough to tell you that I think you'll really enjoy it.

Decent place and cheap flights but not loads to do. Easy enough to get to Milan for the day which is the best thing we did when we were there

Went last summer, it was extremely hot, 39C! Difficult to do much walking in that heat, but it's a nice city, some lovely bars & restaurants. The Palazzo Real is a must & the area around it is lovely. The Egyptian Museum is amazing. We found some lovely gardens alongside the river. We got the train out to Bardonecchia, took the chairlift up the mountain for beautiful views & a great lunch, then met some friends who live
in Sauze d'Oulx, another recommended spot for a day visit. It's cooler in the mountains but really enjoyable. There are many wine estates around Turin, the Nebbiolo grape is local & makes top class red wine! There are car museums, the new stadium for Juventus, & a lot of art stuff. Just hope you don't experience the hot weather we did. Enjoy!

He'd need a time machine! Stadio delle Alpi was demolished 17 years ago sadly.
