By selling a little known youngster to Panathinaikos for £2.6m. He's never kicked a ball for the 1st team and was on loan at Scarborough Athletic last season.

But if the rules can be circumvented like that it probably reflects on the appropriateness and robustness of them. That said, they've cut deals in a way that keep themselves in line, however suspect. | | | |

If we can’t finish above Hull, or if they do a Leeds or Sunderland and sail past us with MUCH better recruitment, then the issue isn’t them, it’s us.
Look at our recruitment if we struggle to compete. Our 25 relative to what we’ve spent, has a huge amount of investment required, and that’s OUR failure, not Hull, certainly not Leeds and absolutely not Sunderland, Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth etc etc

I think you've misinterpreted by point.
I wasn't coming at it from an Ipswich perspective in terms of gaining an advantage. More to highlight the ridiculousness of the rules and ability to circumvent them.
