The former basketball player or the golfer Jordan Speith?
There seems to be a never ending fixation on ‘celebrity’ which I just don’t understand. It doesn’t matter whether it’s documentaries on people or the cameras at Wimbledon or the World Cup. I couldn’t care a less who is sitting in the privileged seats. I watch because I want to see the game (or endure it in the case of tennis) and don’t need the distraction of knowing Beckham, King Kong or Adolf Hitler is enjoying the free stuff.
So unless the documentary is about the history of the river Jordan I won’t be wasting life watching it.

Have to admit that I did find it amusing that when the cameras panned to former players in the stands, the commentators reeled off statistics regarding them without a moments thought. But when it stopped on a celebrity, they just went quiet as they had no idea who they were.
