Jesus. Weird that at the inquest earlier in the day they halted it at a point when they said the cause of death was still to be determined. It sounds like they had a pretty big clue. I don’t know how these things work though and maybe there’s certain things an inquest can’t reveal during an ongoing criminal investigation?

You’re right of course. Nobody deserves any sort of end (or any sort of attack fatal or otherwise) on the basis of their views, religious, political, whatever.

it's her political beliefs which were far more reprehensible than any "religious" ones, but absolutely no-one should be treated in such a diabolical way. may well have had nothing to do with her politics in any case

did i hear right that the trial won't be till next june? why on earth string it out? if it's on camera, surely it's an open-and-shut case?


It was said in the news yesterday that the terror investigation is a long drawn out process which includes interviewing anyone who has associated with the perpetrators, going through his phone, banks, tax, computer records etc. so he can be charged for murder now but there is now time to bring additional terror related charges later.

People deserve personal support to live their lives exactly how they want to. At the same time we can still hold the view you expressed without extremists accusing us of being phobic or whatever other epithets they throw

i guess there's also the mental health angle, which can take a while, but seems like a waste, it's open and shut murder if it's been filmed.

the rest can be included in the inevitable inquiry into any learnings that can be gleaned about the mental health/foreign actors/respect

I think it’s reasonable to be concerned at the death of a third British MP (in just a few years). Events at home tend to garner more interest, especially in a liberal democracy. I don’t have a lot of love for our politicians but they should be able to go about their business without the threat of violence, the levels of extremism in our country is very concerning.
