Nope - apart from anything else Town TV has only been allowed to show even EFL games not licensed to other nations (hence the list of which countries international subscribers could view in on a match-by-match basis). And pretty much every country in the world now shows Premier League (and often every single game is made available unlike here). So unless there's some special deals for the EFL and FA Cups (the latter is almost certainly NEVER available) then not a chance.
Tho you may get the pizza cup games for the U21s now we've disgracefully contributed to the ongoing undermining of that competition by participating despite being insulted by them being in it only four years ago... | | | |

To answer the question, no, that was not the case last time. Over here in the Czech Republic, I’m going to watch via Canal+, which is actually cheaper than Town TV (not that I’m griping). And now a rant entirely unrelated to the OP, who was asking a simple question: maybe this is because I’m an “outsider”, but I can’t understand this obsession in some quarters (particularly in the UK, it seems) with circumventing the system to save money and/or to stick it to the man (firesticks, dodgy streaming sites, etc.). OK, lots of people complain about Sky ruining the game, but isn’t this – in our current position – biting the hand that feeds? If we get down to brass tacks, it’s an entertainment business, and entertainers need to be paid (how much is a matter for discussion, obviously).

Yeah there’s a UK ‘blackout’ period from 3-5pm on Saturdays in which no channel is allowed to show live games on TV. It’s a bit of a joke that you can see them all in a lot of other countries |  | | |

In the UK it’s always been much easier to see EFL games than EPL unless you’ve got one of those dodgy sticks. As the post above says there’s the ridiculous Sat afternoon blackout so we lose a lot of games that way and then without them being in TownTV there’s no option there. So at best we can legitimately sign up to some overseas streaming services, but that’s not always possible with UK registered card.
EFL are easy - it’s just TownTV and a VPN for every match. And some Sky options too.
It’s crackers given that it’s our league. That explains why people use the various workarounds with sticks, etc. |  |

In the UK the majority of the PL games are NOT shown on Sky. It’s typically 7-8 games out of each 19 game match week.
I agree with you about Firesticks and pirate streaming sites, but most people aren’t suggesting that (yes I know some do), they are talking about pay streaming services in other countries that cover all games. | | | |

Watching the matches through an IPTV service is normally supporting piracy, as the IPTV services do not have the rights to show the PL games. IPTV is not piracy in itself, as it's just the service that provides access to a consolidated list of Internet streams. So, for freely available, non-rights controlled streams it's fine, but as soon as you view a rights protected stream that you do not have a subscription for, you're then committing piracy. This is illegal due to not having a subscription for what you're accessing.
Most of the responses in the thread relate to watching the games on a service that has a license to show the games in the particular country noted. Using a geo-relocation technology to then watch a service you pay for, and then watch in another country is an interesting one. This is NOT illegal, but will normally breach your contract with the service you're paying the subscription to, and so (if they found out), they could terminate your subscription (but nothing more). Yeah, the reason I favour ExpressVPN is that Nord do appear slower to deal with countermeasures, and it does occasional just stall, needing a forced disconnect/reconnect.
I keep Nord purely as a backup these days, for when Express have any sort of outage - though they are pretty rare, and I may let my Nord sub lapse when it expires.
All my Apple TVs have Express installed, and online most of the time, and I have no issues (including F1 as part of my US Apple TV subscription) | | | |
