I'm sure this is nothing new and far too simple to be of much interest to many of you, but I thought this was a nice neat little basic overview of our sound financial trajectory.

Interesting angle about Portman Road being a limiting factor. Something the ownership already know and hopefully encourages investment into expansion ASAP but is capacity the problem?

The current works to increase the facilities in the West stand can only help encourage more to be spend on match days but given PR is already larger than the clubs earning higher matchday revenue (Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Brentford etc) it makes you think what are these other clubs doing?

Ipswich is likely limited by what they can charge when compared to London clubs but surely we should be streets ahead of Bournemouth. I don't think any of these clubs have stadia that pull in massive corporate revenue.

I think the video mentions stadium capacity and ticket price ceiling in the same breath.

I'm talking purely match day revenue. According to the video we're behind all of the near competition barring Bournemouth and not much ahead of them at that. These are teams that all have smaller stadiums than us.

Ticket prices are much higher at those venues.

There are people who moan about our ticket prices, but they are on the low side relative to other PL clubs. Last season we were even (upper) mid-table for Championship prices.

I posted an analysis a while back (when our 26/27 ticket prices were announced), which showed that the club averages only £18-19/seat income.

Edit : a quick check suggests Brentford receive an average £34+/seat

London clubs will find it much easier to make on beer sales too. Far higher % that can do their full journey on public transport so if they can convert those drink sales to be in the stadium then it’s all retained.
