I'm the other way around. Very short legs, my waist is where most people's knees are. Ideally a 27" leg (29" is just about ok).
I found an M&S outlet store in Gloucester Quays which does end of line/ odd sizes and sometimes has trousers short enough for what I want.
Shirts are another issue. If long enough to stay tucked in, the cuffs are pretty much beyond the end of my hands. |  |

Might be the most niche topic tailor made for me (heh).
I have the same lanky legs, albeit I was a 28" waist for a long time. I recommend finding trousers in store and then buying them later online in the correct size as they often have a greater range available.
Oh and get used to wearing a belt. |  |

If you and the OP's nipper share sartorial tastes, could you buy two pairs of identical "normal people's"  trousers and employ a tailor to shift a foot or so from the legs of one pair onto the end of the legs of the other pair?

Most trousers/ jeans come in short, regular or long leg. Short is 30, regular is 32 and long is 34 so you just need to get a pair of 30/L. |  |

My weirdness is my feet. One’s bigger than the other (not unusual) but I’m right on a size boundary and the variations between manufactures is enough that sometimes I have to size up and have one very lose shoe but sometimes not. It a right pain and restricts me to certain manufacturers. |  |

Similar- very long spine, long thighs, proportionately short lower legs. Always have to buy mens’ shirts and trousers, just roll the latter up at the bottom if too long as too lazy/unskilled at needlework to bother sewing! [Post edited 28 Jul 10:17]

They have made changes over the years regular trousers used to be smaller both waist and leg measurements. Same with jackets regular jackets are longer than they used to be. I am thinking back to 1980’s |  |
