You have to admit that was a disappointment. All over the place and no coherence despite time to make an impression. Maybe we should just admit we made a mistake in letting him join us and cut our losses, yes even though there’s only a few weeks to the start of the season.

Or would people prefer Wally to stay?

I'm expecting a few, ok couple, to start complaining next week its been a terrible start, 0 points and 0 goals and we're lucky 8 teams are worse than us as thats the only reason we're currently 12th in the league table.

I think we all know it’s going to be tough this season, but if someone gave me 17th right now I’d bite their hand off. That’s GON’s target and that should be ours too. We all know the jump from the Championship to the EPL is massive.

Thankfully, tonight is a friendly, nothing is won or lost at this point in the season.

Going to lower my expectations a bit, we are not going to win the Premier League this season.

Not really. And the point of a forum is to discuss. This ridiculous bed wetting comment is bizarre. It’s clear to everyone we need new top signings in the middle of the park, an experienced striker. Probably a right back. Nothing we didn’t know and tonight confirmed this 100%. Not bed wetting.

Genuine question, do you honestly not think the club are aware of where we’re currently short and are working on it, literally as we speak?

Or do you think they’re just blind and can’t be arsed with the transfer window?

So you can spout whatever opinion you want, but others can't?

I shouldn't be surprised.

Been that way for a loooong time now.

Don't worry Frimmers I love your enthusiasm but even you know what you're like when it comes to over dramatic reactions to single moments and we all know deep down that Wally is a comedy creation.
I genuinely can't wait.

Precisely, success = 17th. 16th and higher = overachieving.

I think they will be very very aware that we have no midfield or experienced striker 3 weeks out from the start of the season.

Hopefully they will not start to panic buy like last time. Probably still need another 7 which now seems one or two too many at this stage.

The point is frimmers, it's an early friendly and pretty much irrelevant on every level, but if anyone was to predict who would weigh in with some criticism a lot would predict that it would be you.

Fwiw I think your posting over the last 6 months or so has been far more balanced, but you'll always have that reputation, and a post having a pop at 2 players in pre season won't help you.

If id started the thread having a pop id agree.

Replying to a critical op and simply saying if davis is a wingback i think hell be ok but if its fullback i think hed struggle. Isnt a hangable offence.

The site is just to precious at times imo. I think we all myself and wally included have all agreed the overall performances as a team in friendlies and results arent important. But when we are in a window it should be ok imo to be discussing the pptions we have. Our useage and opinions on stay/go/change role etc

I did agree tho saying palmer being palmer was silly. I dont rate him but that was a silly inclusion.
