Yes we’re bang in the summer holidays window.
But the only two areas open - Sir Alf Lower and Cobbold Stand - have very little take-up.
Similarly Col U was significantly lower sales than previous seasons.
I guess it is early in pre season, but there are only two at PR.
Need to ensure no apathy towards this crucial season and moment for the club. [Post edited 1 Aug 14:12]

I have been a town fan for 55 years now and have only ever been to one friendly, that was when Sir Bobby bought FC Porto to Portman Road.
I'm not interested in friendlies to be honest, yes it's a game of football, but its not a competitive game and means absolutely nothing.
I think a lot of other fans think the same. |
That’s fair enough but I think this is in reference to to previous years attendance, the Colchester games are normally well attended regardless of opposition, Osasuna were decent opponents and I personally thought the attendance would have been much higher …..are some of us a still suffering from loss of McKenna !

The only real draw to the preseason games is a cheap day out for the kids in my opinion. Love me some town but since I left high school I've not once cared about attending a preseason friendly. |  |

For many, it’s not just the cost of the tickets - bit the travel costs. Fuel prices are at a high again and train tickets are not cheap. Then there is food etc. And for what? No one really tries that hard in these friendlies. | | | |

My dad and I used to do the odd home pre season friendly if I wasn’t working, but in recent years I’ve done just the one - the Fortuna match a couple of years ago. I actually only bothered because I’d never been in the North Stand upper so wanted to tick that off.
The friendlies are little more than fitness and coaching sessions, so are utterly meaningless so if people don’t bother, I completely get it. Still waiting for the Lazio one though… |  | | |

Loads of free parking around. Single yellows on a Tuesday are free and for a 10 min walk you can park on unrestricted on Saturdays | | | |
