Does anyone know what bars these will be - as to whether they’ll have beer on draught?
I was in Sir Alf Upper on Saturday, and had a pint in Beatties before the game - £6.75 a pint of Level Head now. However, at half time, went to the bar on the upper concourse, asked for a Level Head, and was charged £6… only to find it was a small 330ml can of it.
Hopefully these new bars won’t just be stocking these small cans, but will have draught beer available as was available in the fanzone tent at ht last season?
At those prices for the beer choice on offer, I probably won’t bother that often with a halftime drink anyway. |  |

They allegedly had real ale in Beatties last season. I had a look, but wasn't convinced that they were serving proper cask conditioned ale, so I never bought one. There's a lot of setting up and looking after required to do that just for a couple of hours on a Saturday.

I had a half in Beatties after my one game at PR last season. It was that vastly over-hopped, sour, so-called "craft ale" type stuff. Fairly undrinkable. |  |

If I recall correctly, the Design and Access Statement in the planning application featured a render including a sign stating "Pie and a Pint: £5" (maybe 6?)
So I think that should be something the club is held to (or, failing that, the architect is and they have to subsidise it for a season, as they created the image). |  |

I dream of a dark beer that isn't Guinness. But that's increasingly hard even in olde pubs that have historic tiles that say "stouts and porters", so I am not holding any hopes. | |
