We've parked at East Didsbury Metrolink before, and it seemed decent. We were going to the cricket, but it was also a United matchday, and we didn't struggle to park.
Tram runs to Firswood and, from there, it's about a 20min walk to OT. |  |

Metrolink wise, if you just want to park and get to the ground, then Sale Water Park has a dedicated park and ride. Alternatively, if you want to get a drink/food somewhere before you go, then Altrincham or Sale both have good bars and restaurants, and there is various on street parking around before jumping on the tram. You can also park at the Trafford centre and tram in, but it will probably be pretty busy, so wouldn't recommend it unless you're getting there early and doing some shopping first.
If you want to park and walk, there are a lot of businesses in Trafford park that do matchday parking... Some people use Quayside car park by the Lowry and walk across... but its a mult-storey that is **** to get out of, so wouldn't recommend. | |

Anywhere in the residential streets around Chorlton metro for free. Then take the metro for two stops to Trafford Bar. I have a season ticket at OT along with my son, who supports them and lives by Chorlton tram stop. It works well. |  | | |
