Ask yourself a different question. He's stated he wants to come to a PL club. Which club that would clearly be considered stronger than us is in need of a player in that position? Most are in good shape, and the odd one that might be looking may be looking at an even higher level. |

I remember newly-promoted Leicester signing 52-cap Argentine Esteban Cambiasso and he moved on after one season after helping to keep them up (he was admittedly rather older).

..... And that's perfectly fine. The same as Delap, and Hutchinson in the prem. If we stay up and out best 5 players want to move on for a profit to the club then so be it. We get the next batch in, keep some good players, attract even better base level ones and progress. We become seen as starting to be like Bournemouth Brighton Brentford, players see us as a path and we grow and integrate to the top league. What's not to like??! |  | | |

I'm surprised Newcastle aren't in for him to be honest. They could so with support in the middle. If a minor miracle does happen, and we sign him, it will be interesting to see who, if anyone, they sign instead. |

And an important part of that is putting sensible release clauses into contracts. No complaints then if clubs won't pay the fee. | |
