hardly selling like hot cakes..I wonder if the club will come to regret opening the West Stand for this game as it’ll mean work on the stand will have to finish early doors

At £12 quid and the chance to maybe see Chappers/Burns I'm a bit surprised they haven't sold better so far.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't potentially.

There'll certainly be some punters who'll want a side-on view, but won't want to have it in the rather cramped surrounds of the Cobbold.

Not a prophet, or a stone-age man; just a mortal with potential of a superman.

I do wonder if people are put off and cannot be bothered due to the digital ticket problems ie buying for the group, friends and family then trying to send them to the relevant person ,also buying the ticket even if their not going and giving them to friends and relatives was so much easier with a printed ticket with a QR code.

Think you are right here - all such a pallava.... I did buy some today but had to be connected to everyone on site etc. They even have passwords for that now

It’s a piece of piss really.

From 3pm today you could buy up to 4 tickets on one number, so no need to have everyone on F&F but it’s always a good idea to have them on there anyway. Think my F&F list is about 30 people long.

Alright Mr Popular....! ha

To the OP, its midweek, on the TV (presumably as they all are?).

£12 is a decent price cannot complain about that, but living 2 hours away, I'd need to take half a day or mess about getting in early/finishing early. For a cup game against Leicester, its not worth it unfortunately.

It’s called being prepared

Tickets only went on sale to non season ticket holders at 10am today as well, cup games are always low attendances especially against small League 1 sides.

The first three search answers claim that the “selling like hot cakes” originated in the 17th, 18th or 19th century. Some say it originated in America (pancakes), others say Europe. Either way, well done hot cakes for still being a thing in the year 2026.

Not interested. Can’t be @rsed with the new ticket scheme. Don’t want to watch a reserve team.

I bought mine and was surprised NFC was the only option. I thought they might stick to the old (easier) ticket system for cup matches, as some occasional fans might not want to bother with NFC tickets or might not understand them. The Premier League requirement doesn't extend to cup matches as far as I know.

Some people like a moan.

Was same when the stadium went cashless. What about if my little Johnny gets sent postal orders for his birthday? How is he going to cash them in at the ground?

Please remember I am one of the old git brigade!
In the past Being available at the 10.00am I would buy the majority of tickets for our friends and family group, maybe up to a dozen.
I would download the tickets in the email , copy the relevant ticket tickets and share or send to the one or two tickets to those people,
As I see it now I have to send the same email with the 12 tickets to everyone in the group so they can put their tickets in their wallet.

I would be grateful for you more tech savvy TWTD folk if you can advise this old git a better or alternative way
Thanks

The share option on the season tickets wasn’t there for the downloaded cup tickets

I regularly use these digital tickets for sport, theatre and days out so not too much behind the times just finding it difficult in this case.

Pathetic isn’t it.

Trouble is the club was so far behind the times. This should’ve* been introduced years ago.

*It should never have been introduced, bloody digital ticketing ffs. But it was always gonna happen.

And then no game for weeks.

My mum is 73 and has no issues dealing with stuff like this on her phone. And she is not tech savvy in the slightest.

I know it’s easy to download to your wallet no problem with that . What advice I was after was when buying a dozen tickets at one go for friends and family how do I then distribute them to the various persons without sending the whole confirmation email with 12 downloadable tickets to everyone.
Will they appear already in that persons ticket account when purchased by me
This is the problem on here , I only asked for some friendly advise and people get so upset or hostile.

It’s not always user incompetence. I don’t have an issue with tech, I’ve downloaded my season ticket, but for some reason, I couldn’t get my seat for the Leicester game. Numerous attempts to call the club to resolve but never fewer than 40 people waiting, and on several occasions the waiting list was full. I’ve checked online for an obvious error on my account, can’t see anything, what am I supposed to do?? Obviously I’m not alone otherwise the phone lines wouldn’t be clogged up.
